Online mapping, GIS on the web, ArcMap online, Story Maps. Have you wondered what these mean? Have you had the thought – “oh, it would be nice to turn that into an online map” or “how did they make that online map”? Come to the APA ArcGIS.com intro workshop on June 8, 2018 to learn more. The workshop will help you become familiar with the online GIS world created by ESRI and practice developing web applications. Learning objectives include:

  • Eliminate fears about entering the web GIS world

  • Speak web GIS (at least conversational)

  • Translate ArcGIS desktop to ArcGIS.com

  • Make online web applications/story maps

  • Understand how ArcGIS.com be used to find and visualize spatial data

As part of the APA-CMS 2018 Planners Toolkit, this workshop will help pick up where school left off.

Some experience with ArcMap recommended but ok if a bit rusty.
