First and foremost: if you have not yet registered for the Peoria conference, put this newsletter down and go to the registration website right away.  The early registration deadline has been extended to  September 25th!. Please support your APA Chapter, update your skills, and enjoy yourself – all in a single trip. This annual conference of APA-IL is always a good value for limited training dollars, and getting away from the office gives you a fresh perspective. See you Oct. 10-12!

At the end of September, I will be traveling to Washington D.C. to meet with other APA Chapter Presidents and leadership of APA—National. As your Chapter President, I will bring back information about activities at National APA that may affect you. Learning about “best practices” of other Chapters is also a focus of the leadership meetings. If you have questions along these lines, send them to me at president@ilapa.org  and I will see what I can find out.

The APA Upper Midwest Regional Conference will be held from October 31-November 2 in Dubuque! Check out the program – it looks fantastic. I am definitely going! I still need to pick out a Halloween costume – please send me your ideas.

Thanks for reading, and keep in touch. See you in Peoria!
