Register for the APA-IL's Chairperson Roundtable on 4/30

Quality decisions by your community’s Plan Commission and Zoning Board depend on strong leadership by the chairperson. The chairperson sets the tone for the meeting, manages public testimony, facilitates discussions, and maintains order. These duties can be daunting, and chairing a meeting is an acquired skill. So let the APA-IL help with acquiring a greater skillset with our first ever Chairperson Roundtable!


Hear from proficient chairs in this virtual setting, who will provide advice and lessons learned from their experiences chairing commissions. The second half of the program will be a Q&A with the panelists, so please bring your questions and have an engaging discussion on the ebb and flow of chairing a commission.

Who should attend: Current chairs and vice chairs of plan commissions, zoning boards, etc. Commission members and staff liaisons may also attend.


Recording: Live attendance is strongly encouraged. The discussion during the webinar is just as important, if not more important, than the content presented. A recording of the webinar will be accessible through Thinkific after the live session. Live attendees will have access to the recording for 1 month only. The recording will not be sold separately after the event.

How do I register someone else (not me)?

The easiest way to register someone other than yourself:

  1. Email the name and email address of the person(s) you'd like to register to Paula Freeze at admin@ilapa.org

  2. Paula will respond to your email with a link to an invoice.

  3. Paula will register the person(s) on your behalf. She will send a confirmation email to those person(s) and cc: you on the email.

How do I register more than 1 person?

Email Paula Freeze, APA-IL Executive Director, at admin@ilapa.org to register multiple attendees.

  1. Email the name and email address of the person(s) you'd like to register to Paula Freeze at admin@ilapa.org

  2. Paula will respond to your email with a link to an invoice for all attendees.

  3. Paula will register all the people on your behalf. She will send a confirmation email to those persons and cc: you on the email.

How do I login to Thinkific?

The invoice I received is a PayPal invoice. Can I pay online if I don't have a PayPal account?

Yes. PayPal allows invoices to be paid by credit cards. No PayPal account required.


To pay by credit card, please click on the Debit or Credit Card button on the right side of the invoice (see screenshot below)
