10/10 - Walk Into Action: Walking and Walkability Policy Issues

The 2018 election is right around the corner and at America Walks we believe walking and walkability are ballot issues. At the national, state, and local level, walking advocates can use their voice, and their vote, to support policies, programs, and candidates that support healthy, active, and engaged communities. Join us on October 10 at 2pm Eastern, 11am Pacific for "Walk into Action: Walking and Walkability Policy Issues" to learn about how you can use your voice and your vote to support walking and walkability by engaging communities and elected officials on a variety of intersecting issues. This webinar assumes some knowledge of issues related to walking and walkability.

Attendees of this webinar will:

  • Learn from policy experts at the national level about what to keep on the radar around federal transportation policy

  • Get the inside scoop from those within the decision-making process

  • Hear how a community in Chicago is making sure community members get a say in the decision-making process
