Planner, Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, Peoria, IL

The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (TCRPC) has an immediate opening for a Planner experienced with complex Transportation, Land Use and Environmental Issues.

Responsibilities include leading or otherwise supporting integrated transportation, land use, and environmental planning and implementation projects. TCRPC is a proactive regional planning agency which serves three counties in central Illinois and is the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the region. The Commission places a strong emphasis on planning for sustainability.

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s or higher level degree from an accredited university(ies) with a major in urban or regional planning or related field. Candidates must be detail-oriented, organized, skilled in verbal and written communication, and able to lead or otherwise work in a team setting and on multiple projects simultaneously. Basic project management skills, including budgeting, are recommended as is a knowledge of computer applications in planning and geographic information systems. Candidates must have the ability to write clear and concise reports, be able to accurately follow oral and written instructions, demonstrate knowledge of research methods and analytical techniques.

Salary range is $29,395 to $57, 332. Starting salary will depend on the experience and qualifications of the candidate. The Commission offers an excellent benefits package.
