This week APA-IL President Jake Seid AICP and Legislative Committee Chair David Silvermand AICP met with staff from US Senator Tammy Duckworth's office to advocate for you and the role of planners in helping to drive economic recovery throughout the state. Jake and David met with Virginia Hayes, Dan McManus, and Jen Ahearn with the help of APA National. The conversation focused on using federal programs to tackle the climate crisis; promote transit, biking, and walking; plan for emerging technologies; and fund transportation infrastructure in ways that are sustainable.
