Did you miss out on the 4/24 APA-IL Lockdown Lowdown?
If you were not able to join in on the APA-IL Lockdown Lowdown Happy Hour on 4/24, you missed a great conversation about virtual public meetings and hearings! There were several best practices and resources discussed during the Happy Hour and we'd love to share a few with you:
During meetings and hearings, be sure to include the agenda as a slide or visual aide. Come back to it regularly so people that join late can see what they missed and see what's to come.
Be sure to have everyone log into your meeting at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the meeting.
Prep early and often.
Applicants should get their materials to you early. Send them a PowerPoint template and make them adhere to your style.
If you think a meeting will take 30 minutes, it will probably take more like 40 minutes.
Curious about future Lockdown Lowdown Happy Hours? They are for members-only and happen every Friday at 6:00 PM. Find out more and register for upcoming Happy Hours at ilapa.org
