The orientation will give an overview and break down of the various positions and roles of the Transportation Planning Division’s Executive Board. We will discuss the following: Communications and Interpersonal Relations and Customer Service; working with logistics to bring further knowledge about transportation topics to planning professionals; Leadership and mentoring new members looking to grow into leadership roles within TPD and other APA areas; Project Management – resource allocation, operational management and task analysis; Relationships – emphasizing the importation and interrelatedness of members positions and APA; Technical Proficiency – Using social media platforms to inform, engage and elevate TPD/APA; Professional Development – building leadership from our membership, encouraging members to grow into membership through engagement and conveying the structures of APA and TPD’s Executive Board; Contribution – volunteering time to be active in APA and TPD; Relationship Management – growing relationships across the Division through the leadership involvement.
