2020 APA-IL State Conference keynote speaker, sessions, sponsorship, & registration.
Updated: Oct 2, 2020
The APA-IL is proud to announce their 2020 Keynote Address will be on September 17th and will feature Wesley Hamilton, founder of Disabled but Not Really. You might recognize Wes from the premiere of Netflix’s hit show Queer Eye (Season 4, Episode 2), and has been featured countless times in the media, including CNN, ABC News, BBC, CNN, CTV, and TMZ.
Wesley founded Disabled but Not Really in 2015 to provide fitness and nutrition scholarships to those with a physical disability and instill a physically unlimited mindset. He promotes the essential tools of positivity, self-awareness, empowerment, resilience, and acceptance in the face of any challenge. His stories of courage, strength, and perseverance resonate with participants long after every talk he’s delivered.
Workout with Wes!
Not only is Wesley a powerful, positive speaker - he is also a powerful athlete! Wes has been gracious enough to partner with the APA-IL and Chicagoland gyms to bring a virtual workout to conference attendees the morning of September 17th. So get your garage gyms ready, you won't want to miss this challenging, adaptive boot camp-style workout!
