7/17/ - Partnering for Engagement: Accessibility of Public Spaces

Updated: Jan 1, 2020

New technology and emerging trends in transportation pose unique challenges and opportunities for people with disabilities and for any who wish to ensure that our public spaces and transportation networks are available and accessible to all. While autonomous vehicles may offer new opportunities for people with disabilities, they need to be managed properly and developed with people with disabilities in mind to ensure that they're accessible. While trends like micromobility and mobility as a service offer opportunities for reimagining public space, people with disabilities need to be at the table and part of any decision-making process to be sure that the changing landscape does not exclude them.

Join this webinar to explore human-centered mobility and how it applies specifically to people with disabilities, featuring national experts on accessibility and public space. This webinar assumes a basic knowledge of issues related to walking and walkable communities.
