The Illinois and Chicago Departments of Transportation have embarked on a years-long planning effort to rebuild Lake Shore Drive from the Chicago River north to Hollywood. Attendees will learn of the philosophies and strategies for balancing the competing needs on the corridor and engaging with a very involved public for this large scale project.

The panel will include representatives from the Project Study Group (IDOT, CDOT, CTA, and Chicago Park District), along with a representative from the consultant team. The moderator, Mark N. Lundgren, AICP, is a member of the citizen Task Force for "Redefine the Drive" and the Chicago Metro Section programming committee.
