APA-ISS 2019 conference header

Registration is now open for the annual 2019 APA-ISS Conference in Decatur June 6th-7th. Topics will include brownfield development, modern agriculture, lakefront development, neighborhood services, and more! Thursday will be traditional sessions and Friday will be mobile workshops. Thursday night will include a reception at the Beach House.

This year's schedule offers attendees 8.75 CM credits as we cover topics ranging from housing to brownfields to agriculture and more

Registration will close June 4, 2019.

  • 9:00 am | Mobile Tour: Crossing Healthcare; Wabash Crossing Housing Project | Looking at ways to combat the opioid epidemic, behavioral health, and modern health issues; Lessons learned from a Hope IV Project. (CM | 1.25)

  • 10:15 am | Mobile Tour: Not Your Grandpa's Farm, a modern look at the ag industry | Tour a local farm and see how the industry is changing, the challenges they face, and the exciting way our food chain is improving. (CM | 1.25)

  • 11:45 am | (Lunch at Sol Bistro cancelled due to grandpa's farmers needing to be in the fields)

  • 1:15 pm - 2:30 pm | Downtown Walking Tour | Kent Massie, ASLA and Neil Brumleve, ASLA, Massie Massie + Associates (CM | 1.25)

All sessions will be held at the Decatur Civic Center in Downtown Decatur (1 Gary K Anderson Plaza) and mobile workshops will depart from here as well. Don't worry about bringing change to feed the meter, as the Civic Center Parking Lot immediately adjacent to the south offers free parking to attendees!

If you are unable to attend, requests for a refund must be made via email to finance@ilapa.org by June 4, 2019. Requests for a refund will be granted at the discretion of the APA-ISS.

While I no longer work for the City, I do live here with my husband, three kiddos, and two pups. I look forward to welcoming you into my community this June!
