Gov. Rauner signs bill to promote greater rural broadband access in Illinois

Rauner signed House Bill 5752 on Monday. It creates a broadband council to recommend specific legislation and spending levels. The measure also reduces some regulations to get more broadband in rural areas. Rauner said it’s not just for older generations.
