Ride Amtrak to Springfield!
Want to volunteer and ride the Amtrak to the conference? No problem! You can add the Amtrak Mobile Workshops on to your conference registration (please contact Glen before registering).
As you may have heard, we're offering 3 transportation focused mobile workshops each worth 1 CM credit on a reserved, private Amtrak Lincoln Service train car that leaves Chicago Union Station to Springfield the morning of September 26th.
Attendees will be able to board our train car at Chicago Union Station, Joliet Gateway Center train station, or Uptown Station in Normal. Mobile workshops will begin at each station. Ride from Chicago and collect them all! Join us in Joliet and earn 2 CMs. Hope on the train in Normal and earn 1 CM. That's one small step for man, and one giant leap for urban planners in Illinois.Please note - these private tickets can be obtained when you register for your mobile workshops; this is a one-way ticket. You must obtain a ticket for the ride back home through Amtrak.com. The APA-IL is not responsible for Amtrak delays.
