3 Free Parking Webinars

Updated: Jan 3, 2020

Community Builders has scheduled three parking webinars. Please visit https://communitybuilders.org/how-we-help/webinars/ to register for each of the upcoming webinars.:

  • Parking Session One: Strategic Parking Management Basics for Small Communities

Few policy issues in local government are more challenging than parking: retailers have a unique perspective, commuters need to get to work, elected leaders may want to build new off-street supply, and nobody likes parking enforcement.

Date: Wednesday, February 21 | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM MT Featuring: Jim Charlier – Charlier Associates, Inc.

Parking Session Two: Supporting Great Places and Thriving Downtowns Through Strategic Parking

Parking management can represent a conundrum for small city downtowns. The policy prescriptions offered on websites and in journal articles and books (e.g., Donald Shoup’s “High Cost of Free Parking”) may seem out of reach for communities with limited resources and limited appetite for high impact tactics like paid parking.

Date: Thursday, March 22 | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM MT Featuring: Jim Charlier – Charlier Associates, Inc.

Parking Session Three: How Transportation Technology Trends are Reshaping the Parking Landscape

Sometimes it seems like the transportation “tech boom” is bypassing smaller towns and cities in the Western states. Services like Lyft and Uber are focused on large cities. Car-share systems are gradually showing up in smaller cities but may not be having much impact yet.

Date: Wednesday, April 25 | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM MT Featuring: Jim Charlier – Charlier Associates, Inc.
