APA-CMS members enjoyed Bruce Bondy on June 2nd

On June 2nd, APA-CMS hosted the first of two hand drawing skills workshops. Led by architectural illustrator Bruce Bondy of Bondy Studio, attendees of the half-day session were first given a refresher in comparative drawing techniques including working with 3D forms, shadow, and light. Then Bruce helped demonstrate how to use eye level photos and models to create streetscape drawings using the quick sketch method.

The second skills workshop is scheduled for June 16 with several attendees registered to return and expand on their newly acquired skills. The second half-day workshop will walk attendees through the process of translating aerial photos and SketchUp models into aerial perspective sketches. Attendees need not have attended previous workshops.

If hand drawing does not fit your interest, check the APA-CMS program calendar for updates on other upcoming workshops that will be offered as part of the Planners Toolbox series later in 2017.
