Recap of the January CMS Program: How 70+ professionals kicked off 2017!
The APA-CMS 2017 programming calendar kicked off with a bang presenting the Joint-County Long Range Transportation Planning panel in front of a packed house at CMAP on Friday, January 13. Attendees were able to learn about approaches, lessons learned, and future recommendations from two transportation plans that are nearing completion in Cook County and Will County, as well as a recently launched transportation planning process in DuPage County.
With over 70 attendees registered, there was a wide representation of professions in attendance, including planners, engineers, and allied professionals. Special thanks to our speakers: María Choca Urban from the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways; Christina Kupkowski, P.E. from the Will County Division of Transportation, and Sidney Kenyon from DuPage County. Thank you also to CMAP for hosting the event, all those who attended, and Jen McNeil Dhadwal (AECOM), Jim Meyer (AECOM), and Laura Wilkison (Metro Strategies) for their collaboration in organizing the event. (Thanks to the photographer of the day, Ryan Richter, AICP)
