Sept CMS Program: Enhancing the Community: Practical Practices in Streetscape Design (CM | 2)

Communities large and small concentrate significant resources in their downtown rights-of-way to attract and retain businesses, consumers, residents and investors. In a rapidly changing marketplace, the stakes are particularly high when community leaders contemplate new right-of-way streetscape investments. This program will explore innovative, yet practical practices that can be applied in today’s streetscape. Speakers will discuss successful streetscapes, community branding, innovative lighting techniques, as well as a current local project. The session will conclude with a walking tour of Downtown Naperville that highlights recommendations from the City’s own Streetscape Plan. A social/networking event will be held afterwards in Downtown Naperville.
