With deep sorrow, the Department of Urban and Regional Planning announces the passing of our dear friend and colleague Jane Terry. Jane passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 21 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana at age 69.
Jane was a member of our Department for most of her life and for virtually the entire existence of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Decades of our students knew her as their advocate and friendly helper, who steered them through the processes of admission, course enrollment, and graduation. Alumni have known her as the one constant in an ever-changing department. She took delight in staying connected with so many of our alumni. We will all miss her.
