CMS Planning Law Session: "Bar Exam" & Happy Hour - Jan 21, 2016

A reminder to join APA-CMS for its first program of the year: PLANNING LAW SESSION "BAR EXAM" on Thursday, January 21, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Jak’s Tap near UIC (901 W. Jackson Blvd, Chicago).

Leading off the new year, Ancel Glink will apply their wit and creativity to yet another one of their highly engaging planning law sessions in an entertaining format and in a non-traditional

setting. This will be a great time for all planners, particularly AICP planners seeking to obtain their CM Law credits, to stay current on planning law in a fun and relaxed environment: Forget about lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!); we’ll be discussing the pot, god, and economic development (among other things) during APA-CMS’s first ever Bar Exam at Jaks Tap on January 21st.

Interested in the latest TIF litigation impacting your community’s economic development efforts? How about recent court opinions concerning video gaming, adult businesses, shooting ranges, and fights with school districts? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you belong at Jaks Tap. Attendees will participate in a fast-paced quiz-show style session pitting friends, planners, and countrymen against one another. Winners will receive fabulous prizes, but all attendees will receive the best parting gift of all: the gift of legal knowledge.

Click here for a flyer with complete details on topics and speakers. Registration cost for the law session will be $15 ($5 for students). Please RSVP to
