2026 Micro Grant Pilot Program

APA-IL is proud to announce the 2026 Youth Engagement Micro-Grant pilot program to support Chapter members in engaging Illinois' youth in urban planning. The program funds creative, hands-on activities that introduce young people to planning practice as well as career pathways. High school students are a particular emphasis of this program.

Grant Timeline

  • Monday, March 30, 2026 - Applications open.
  • Friday, April 30, 2026 - Applications due at 11:59 PM CST.
  • May 2026 - Notice of award to selected applicants.
  • September 30, 2026 Awardees recognized at APA-IL Awards Ceremony at the 2026 State Conference in Evanston, IL.
  • December 4, 2026 Activity must be completed and documentation submitted to APA-IL.
