FREE Commission Assistance and Mentoring Program (CAMP®), Historic Preservation Training

Through a generous grant administered by the Illinois State Historic Preservation Office, Town of Normal and City of Bloomington are proud to announce the shared hosting of the National Alliance for Preservation Commissions’ signature training program, CAMP®. Attending this FREE event is a great way of satisfying continuing education requirements as a local historic preservation commissioner, design review board member, or Certified Local Government.

The Commission Assistance and Mentoring Program (CAMP) Workshop to take place from roughly 8 am – 5 pm on Saturday, September 9th at the McLean County Museum of History (200 N Main St, Bloomington).

Registering for the event online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/commission-assistance-and-mentoring-program-camp-historic-preservation-training-registration-36358235461 is preferred, but you can also download a registration form and mail it to Jennifer Toney, City of Bloomington, 109 E Olive Street, Bloomington, IL 61701.

As the attached flyer, the event is FREE to attend, but limited to 40 attendees. We ask that you notify us by close of business Wednesday, September 6 if you are registered, but end-up unable to attend. A $25 cancellation fee with be charged for not cancelling before September 6th. Morning coffee and treats, box lunches, and afternoon refreshments from Bloomington-Normal restaurants will be provided.
