Graduating soon (or already did)? This is for you.
What happens at APA when I become a professional?
Nothing. No joke. Like many things in life - it's up to YOU.
The New Professional membership is designed to help you transition from student to professional membership at a reduced cost. After completing the two-year introductory period, members must pay the standard annual rate based on their salary range.
What if I still haven't found a job?
Chin up! This is where APA's network can help. Keep your student membership until your paid through date. Network your heart out! Come to all the chapter events you can. Pro tip: not every conversation has to be about a job. Meet people, talk to people, ask questions -- the job will follow.
What if I can't afford an APA membership? What if I don't want a national membership?
The APA-IL has you covered. We offer $50 chapter-only memberships. Keep or build your local network with us. Click here for more info!
Where can I find more information about APA national dues and membership?
For more details or to join, visit the APA’s Member Dues webpage.
I'm lost. Who can I talk to?
This is where your local connections come into play. Talk to friends and co-workers or email Executive Director, Paula Freeze, at admin@ilapa.org. One way or another, we'll get you on the right path!
