APA-IL has reserved a private Amtrak car that leaves Chicago Union Station to Springfield the morning of September 26th. Attendees will be able to in Chicago, Joliet, or Normal. Stacey Meekins, AICP, Sam Schwartz Engineering, will ask, how does planning for zero deaths differ from traditional planning for transportation and introduce Vision Zero.
Jamie Simone, AICP, IDOT, will help familiarize attendees with IDOT's multi-year program to identify planning opportunities for communities, counties or regions. We will also discuss important elements of IDOT’s transportation asset management plan.
Gina Trimarco, AICP, TranSystems, will be discussing the I-84 Multimodal Station, Hartford, CT

Join us once again for the APA-IL Plan Commission Training -- learn what’s new in planning, hear lessons learned from the pros, and discuss your role with fellow commissioners.
