2016 Illinois Planners Legislative Action Day is one week away!

April 12, 2016

April 20th is just one week away! Be sure to join us for our second annual Legislative Action Day. The APA-IL is excited to bring the voice of Illinois' planning professionals to legislators in Springfield.

The APA-IL Legislative Committee is organizing a full-day of activities. It will kick-off with a breakfast and legislative discussion in the morning. We are also excited to announce that Speaker Michael Madigan’s Chief of Staff, Tim Mapes, will be joining us for breakfast to discuss the importance of citizen legislative engagement. Just before lunch, we'll walk over to the Capitol for a photo and then spend the afternoon meeting with legislators. We'll end the day with a reception.

We're using #PLAD16 in our conversations on Facebook and Twitter. Help create a buzz by using it too! Attendees can use this hashtag to share their photos and thoughts with others in Springfield. Not going to attend? You can keep track of the day's events searching that hashtag as well. After the event, use the hashtag for follow up conversations.

If you have any questions about the APA-IL Planners Legislative Action Day, contact APA-IL's Legislative Committee Chair, David Silverman, AICP at dsilverman@ancelglink.com.
