As you’re probably aware, the current situation in Flint is dire. Over the past couple months it has become more evident that there are real water issues in the City of Flint. Undrinkable tap water within the City of Flint and Genesee County has led to cases of severe lead poisoning and Legionnaires disease. As the Federal, State, and Local governments try to rectify this current state of emergency, it begs the question of HOW CAN YOU HELP?
A coalition of UIC Student Organizations have joined forces to help make a difference! We have taken on the charge to create the following opportunities for YOU to either donate, volunteer, and even join in on a discussion about water disparities in the US.
Opportunity 1. Donate to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.
