Aspire to something greater and join Gannett Fleming! We are currently seeking a Planning Manager Support for our Chicago, IL office. This role is responsible for supporting transit projects throughout project development, planning, and design. Coordinate with design consultants, technical leads, and construction managers for value engineering studies. The role will be a member of an integrated program management team overseeing the planning, design, and construction of a multi-year capital program for a large public transit agency.
The Planning Oversight Manager is an integrated member of a 40+ person Program Management team overseeing the planning, design, and construction of a long-term, $5 billion + capital infrastructure program for the Chicago Transit Authority, the third largest transit agency in the nation.
Assists in data-driven analysis and prioritization of capital requests for production of an annual 5-year Capital Improvement Program.
Coordinates across departments to assist in the management of a Capital Planning Database to capture global infrastructure needs.
Coordinates with engineering, operations, and construction divisions for preparation of project master plans, including narrative scopes, conceptual plans, initial cost estimates, and schedule/risk analysis.
Coordinates with the Project Controls team for budget/schedule reporting.
Assists in the review of projects for compliance with applicable local, state and federal funding requirements.
Develops ad hoc planning studies and reports for key audiences.
Assists in the development of planning presentations, models, renderings and graphics as needed.
Provides oversight and coordination of specific programs and projects through planning and design phases.
A minimum of 5 years of planning/design experience
Expertise with GIS software for data analysis and mapping
Expertise with rendering/presentation software, including Adobe Creative Suite
Preference for candidates with some experience with public transit or transit related programs
