Planning and Development Director, Scott County Iowa, Davenport, IA
Scott County Iowa seeks qualified applicants for the position of Planning and Development Director. Primary duties of the position will include comprehensive land use planning and the interpretation and enforcement of land use regulations in the unincorporated areas of Scott County. Responsible for the issuance of building permit, enforcement of building codes and conducting of building inspections in unincorporated areas and certain cities in Scott County. Oversees floodplain management, makes recommendations on tax increment financing (TIF) proposals, consults on economic development projects, and participates in community wide boards and commissions related to housing, tourism, and watershed planning.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field; AND seven (7) years of experience in urban or regional planning, which includes some previous supervisory responsibilities; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Starting salary range is $83,033- $96,283 and is based upon experience.
