Experienced Airport Planner, Mead & Hunt, Inc., Chicago, IL

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced airport planner. Responsibilities include conducting research and developing narrative reports and graphics for system planning, master planning, economic analysis and environmental review projects; leading the development of planning documents; providing QA/QC on documents; managing airport planning and environmental projects; engaging in business development activities; and interacting with clients and regulatory agencies including presenting on project findings. Occasional travel and a valid driver’s license will be required.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree or higher in urban planning, landscape architecture, airport/aviation management, civil engineering, geography, or related field; AND at least six years of relevant planning experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Airport planning projects such as aviation system planning, airport master planning, land use studies, airspace studies, and/or economic impact analysis

  • NEPA and other regulatory compliance documents

  • Stakeholder engagement activities

  • Project management

  • Professional certification (i.e. AICP, AAAE CM, LEED, PE, etc.)
