IL State Section Conference News – March 25 & 26, 2010

The Spring 2010 Illinois State Section Conference will be held in Carbondale, IL Thursday- Friday March 25 and 26, 2010. Proposed sessions include crime and socially sustainable communities, comprehensive planning, the town and gown connection, water issues, the Southern Illinois wine trail, the ways communities have successfully utilized TIF Districts and the Southern IL University Saluki Way Project. Presenters include the Kendig Keast Collaborative and Tom Henderson, Executive Director of the Tax Increment Association.

Watch for the agenda and registration form to be posted at http://www.ilapa.org. Amtrak offers service to Carbondale and would be a convenient way to travel! And since spring comes earlier to southern Illinois than the rest of the state, this is an excellent opportunity to schedule a week-end vacation in this beautiful scenic area.
